Drummer Paul Van Eekelen(Fred), bass player Michael Lamb, and guitarist Brian Baker have been recording and performing as Big Head Little Body since 1997. They released their first single, "Happiness" in 1998 and full length CD, "Bug" in 1999.
The Big Headz have been gigging extensively over the last few years,
headlining at Mallacoota New Years for two years in a row, and playing nearly every
bar and club in Gippsland, including, Ringers in Sale, Kay St and the Astrodome in
Traralgon, and the Yahoo Bar in Shepparton, They’ve supported such artists as,
"Deadstar" and played at festivals and other related Arts Events.
The new CD, "BUG" was recorded by Brian and mixed and mastered at David Briggs Production Workshop in Melbourne. Currently released independently, the band are looking for a distribution deal.
Though they often play as a three piece, their line sometimes includes Stuart Manderson on keyboards, vocals and additional guitar.
Big Head Little Body have received radio airplay on Triple JJJ, Triple RRR, 3PBS, 3MDR, GI-FM and other ABC radio stations in Victoria, and the video for "Happiness" was shown on "Rage" and "Channel V".
