The long way home - acoustic two

Brian Baker is a singer/songwriter living and working in the Dandenong Ranges, located in Melbourne, Australia. As well as writing and performing his songs he composes music for TV, Film and Radio and also works as a freelance video editor. He has currently finished his 8th CD release - The Long Way Home, and it's available here.

The long way home Mp3's (Encoded at 192bps so will sound good and play in any player.) There's a video clip lower down the page.

Note: I've just had these recordings remastered by David Briggs. He's done a wonderful job, so if you've downloaded these tracks previous to 21.1.07 please feel free to replace your files with these new ones. :-)

1. The long way home (Baker)

2. Bittersweet symphony (Jagger and Richards)

3. Out of the loop (Baker)

4. Tomorrows getting closer (You'll pay) (Baker)

5. In it deep (Baker)

CD Artwork - a zipped up tif file so that you can view or even make your own CD cover if you want to. (Not quite here yet!)

Lyrics to the original songs. (i.e. not Bittersweet symphony)

Still need the actual CD? Email me and we will do the traditional buy the CD thingy. That is, I'll give you my direct deposit details or and the address to send a cheque, and then put the CD in the post.

Also - The tracks are made available for personal use - they are still subject to copyright. If you want to license the tracks for film or TV - no problem, just get in touch with me.

Cheers

P.S. Why did I have the tracks remastered? Well, I originally mastered them myself and although they were OK, I felt, on repeated listen that I hadn't achieved what I call a, "gentle consistency". These days with all the digital compressors, limiters and other gizmos, it's easy to hit the recordings too hard and end up over compressing them. If you've listened to the tracks you'll know that this stuff ain't hard rock at all! I wanted to make it easier to listen to, I don't need my recordings to be louder than the next guys. If you want to hear it louder - turn it up!

My only regret is that I didn't video the mastering session with David Briggs in his studio here in Melbourne. He really is a master of his craft and a real sweetheart. Thanks David.

And here's a video for "The long way home".
