"Prague Radio".
The kind folks at www.earbuzz.com. have written a great review of the CD. Here are a few tasty bits..."The production is as good as it gets - with a mastered disc that provides round bass, clear crisp highs, and a mix that welcomes the ears into the experience as if the band was performing live...Mr. Baker is at the top of the running for our earBuzz Artist of the Year for 2004...This is a fantastic CD and one of the finest independent releases we've heard". - dk
Here's another review from www.notlame.com - "The warm acoustic guitar washes over every note and Baker`s Finn-esque croon takes you down on your knees to prepare to be lifted back up to the warm sun breaking down on your pop-starved soul. Embrace tuning into "Prague Radio" and be rewarded with a bit of timeless acoustic-driven pop. Very Highly Recommended!"

The pics in question can be found on his site - http://www.mikeruddbillputt.com/home/Stop_Press.htm Actually his entire site is really worth checking out, an interesting and often funny insight into one of this country's most influential musicians, surely soon to be inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame!!?!

Bit of a story...
Baker previously performed with Eddie Rayner, the infamous Split Enz and
Crowded House keyboard player. Together they created "The Makers",
releasing two CDs in the nineties, and touring Australia and New Zealand. Continuing their relationship Baker and Rayner have collaborated on two songs
for "Prague Radio", "It's All Love" and "Head in
the Clouds". After working on the album for the last 18 months, an elegant, timeless pop
record has been produced. "I set myself limits so as to convey the songs in an open and honest
manner, acoustic guitar, accompanied by bass and drums, sparse electric guitar,
and layered harmony vocals." The result is a warm, open sounding CD in the old school of pop music,
evoking strong memories of The Beatles and Crowded House. "Prague
Radio" has been exquisitely mastered by David Briggs who has recorded with
George Martin. Prague Radio is Bakers 2nd solo CD, following "The
Field" released in 1995. His work also features on the soundtrack to the
Australian cult classic movie, "Rikki and Pete", two Makers CDs,
(their self titled debut in 1990 and "Hokey Pokey" in the following
year), and rock act Big Head Little Body’s 1999 release "Bug". Baker is currently doing live shows to promote the release of "Prague
Radio" with his new band, "The Spoils of
the Empire"
